consent order application PROCEDURE FOR ISSUE OF CONSENT Industry requires to obtain consent for discharge of sewage / trade effluent into any stream or well or into sewer or land under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and to operate the plant in air pollution control area ( entire State of Tamilnadu ) under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.

- • To inspect sewage and trade effluent treatment plants for their effectiveness and review plans, specifications for corrective measures.
- • To inspect industrial plants or manufacturing process, any control equipment and to give directions to take steps for the prevention, control or abatement of air pollution.
- • To plan a comprehensive programme for the prevention, control and abatement of water and air pollution.
- • To advise the State Government on any matter concerning the prevention, control or abatement of water and air pollution.
Hazardous Waste Authorisation
The applications of authorization applied by a facility outside the state for collection and transportation of hazardous and other waste from the state for recycling and utilization including co-processing, are processed by the Incharge of Waste Management cell in the Head Office.
Bio-Medical Waste Authorisation
Bio-medical Waste Authorisation is an authorization issued under the provisions of Bio-medical Wastes Management for the generation/collection/reception/storage/transportation/treatment/disposal or any other manner of handling of biomedical wastes.
Plastic Waste Registration
Every person recycling or processing waste or proposing to recycle or process plastic waste shall make an application to the State Pollution Control Board or for grant of registration or renewal of registration for the recycling unit.
E-Waste Authorisation
Permission to generate, handle, collect, obtain, store, transport, refurbish, dismantle, recycle, treat and dispose of e-waste, given to manufacturers, dismantlers, refurbishers, and recyclers is called authorization under E-waste management.
Solid Waste Management Authorisation
SOLID WASTE means solid or semi-solid domestic waste, sanitary waste, commercial waste, and other non-residential waste removed or collected from surface drainage, agricultural waste generated in the area under the local authorities and other entities.
Construction & Demolition Waste Management Authorisation
Construction and demolition waste mean waste comprising of building materials, debris and rubble resulting from construction, remodeling, repair and demolition of any civil structure.
Battery Dealers & Traders Registration
The applicant shall use only one User Id for the Battery Dealer location and the same
User Id has to be used for filing all applications for all the time in OCMMS. For the same
battery dealer, the applicants shall not submit the applications using different user Id
under any circumstances since it would create duplicate Industry files in OCMMS.
